When I came back to Michigan last month, my backyard which is a tiny 5'x10' fenced in concrete space was overflowing with green leafy plants. It had turned into a jungle in the month and a half that I was in California. A jungle of weeds, that is. Maintenance came around and weeded and now the space is usable again. Strangely, instead of walking in through my apartment door to get to the yard, they took out a fence board to get in and then nailed it back when they were done). But, what could I use the backyard for? It's such a tiny space transparent to anyone walking by (widely spaced shoulder high fence) which is often since its next to my building entrance. I've tried hanging drying the laundry across two Ikea twine lines running the length which is great, but KT's shirt bottoms skim the ground which is not the cleanest. But with the space cleared again and the free sunlight, I have to hang dry my laundry. There's no other way, besides the dryer which is not as exciting or free. And it's not just exciting because I don't have job, it's exciting like really exciting things are.
So I've modified my laundry lines to run diagonally across making a big X for those in the floor 2 and 3 to look down on as well as raising the lines and hopefully, KT's shirts won't drag anymore.
