late night ramblings

i can't sleep. i think i didn't sort out my thoughts enough before i tried to sleep. sooo...

-i wear a 32 B bra! yes, that's right, a B cup. but that's only because a 34 A is the same as a 32 B. humor me.

-it turns out i'm doing a lot better at work than i thought i was, according to my annual eval. woot! (yes, i know i was and am trying my best at work. but even though you know you're doing your best, you can't help wonder how it's interpreted by your boss. sure, you should have inner confidence in your own abilities, but when your ability is judged based on someone else's standards, that's when you start to place more emphasis on someone else's opinions. but it's important to continue to measure yourself by your own yard stick.)

-life is all about perspective. time is all about perspective. waiting a day for something you want can seem like an eternity if you measure that day in hours. but if you look at that same day in relation to weeks or months, that same day is a very short period of time. patience.

-i think a reasonable measure of how much a significant other appreciates your efforts is their reaction to a CD you make for them. if they mention they only like certain songs, i think it's safe to say 1) they don't appreciate your efforts; 2) they're too self absorbed and can't even stop thinking about themselves for a second to put themselves in your shoes to see all the thought that went into picking out each and every song.
