Marla Singer's First Traffic School Experience

$400+ later, and "case has been dismissed" (exact quote from the email i got today). $382 for the ticket, $11.95 for online traffic school, $9 for "identity verification" and all it did was ask me which hospital on the list was closest to my house and if i recognized any of the people on another list. wtf.

and i didn't even do anything wrong. how could i possibly have gone "eighty-four miles per hour" on the 405 at 5:10-5:15ish? 70 maybe, but not 84. and it all happened too soon. i hadn't even gotten my license plate when i got pulled over. and the cop was a jackass. wasn't it obvious that i was sick and barely functioning? plus, i was already crying on the inside by the time i had to weave out of traffic, which suddenly got worse when the cop started flashing his red lights. at this time, i couldn't be going past 3o mph.

i think i should've contested it and tried to defend myself. but what chance did i have? it would've been his words against mine, and i figured it wouldn't be worth all the stress. or would it? and my court date was set for Nov 19th, which made me a lot less eager to go through all that trouble.

New Moon comes out on the 20th, so i'm going to be in line by like, 8-9ish so i can get good seats for the midnight showing. i finally got tickets for it, yay! ten more days! yay! i'm excited! once again, i'll get to wear my Team Jacob shirt and not feel like an idiot. my plan is to go straight home after work, change out of my boring work clothes into my Team Jacob shirt, pick up hs best friend, drive us and my Team Jacob sis and Team Edward cousin to BPM, leave them there, while i get food for us to camp out until they let us in. or i'll go take a nap in the car. i don't know how i'll stay awake at work the next day, but that can be figured out.

i think i might be too old for New Moon and be wearing a Team Jacob shirt. please, don't let me be too old. please, don't let me be too old :(
